Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Da Jiang (ranked 157 p4p, 267 weight class) and Kado Akiyama (ranked 21 p4p, 36 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kado Akiyama was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 42 - 14 - 3, fighting out of New York, Da Jiang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Kado Akiyama! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jiang tries to land a leg kick but Akiyama saw it coming and moves away.
Akiyama ducks right into an uppercut from Jiang. A swing and a miss from Akiyama. Akiyama keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Jiang.
Jiang throws a leg kick that misses. A left lands for Jiang. Jiang slips under a jab from Akiyama. A leg kick checked by Akiyama. Akiyama now looks to counter with a shot at the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jiang misses with a low kick. Jiang throws a predictable looking body shot
and Akiyama connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Akiyama misses with a body kick. Jiang keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Akiyama. Jiang lands a jab to Akiyama's midsection.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jiang connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Jiang misses with a jab to the body
and Akiyama cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jiang avoids a kick to the body.
Jiang falls off balance throwing a combination
and Akiyama counters with a stiff right hand. Jiang looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Jiang throws a low kick but Akiyama avoids it. Jiang closes the distance looking to clinch letting Akiyama counter with a right hand. Akiyama ducks right into an uppercut from Jiang. A decent looking cross lands there for Akiyama. Akiyama moves out of range as Jiang strikes.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jiang thows a leg kick but Akiyama checks it
and Akiyama counters with a nice right hand that sends Jiang toppling to the canvas! Jiang scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Akiyama finish him?!
 Jiang is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jiang ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Oh Jiang is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Akiyama digs a good hook to Jiang's body.
Jiang seems to have got his legs back now. The crowd cheers as Jiang lands an impressive looking overhand right. Akiyama doesn't seem phased though.
 It looks like Kado Akiyama has been cut. Jiang tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jiang looks to throw the jab but Akiyama is out of range. Jiang misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jiang lands with a slapping head kick. Jiang misses with a leg kick and Akiyama counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jiang misses with a leg kick and Akiyama counters with a hugh head kick that removes Jiang from consiousness! A brutal head kick knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kado Akiyama! During a confident post fight interview, Kado Akiyama thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
