Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tin Williams (ranked 2471 p4p, 774 weight class) and Will Bond (ranked 198 p4p, 73 weight class). Williams's entrance music is Cannonball. A fine choice. Bond has chosen The Notorious B.I.G., Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - Notorious Thugs as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tin Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Will Bond!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bond's coach down at Place of the Way was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bond's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Bond fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Williams to the ground. Bond is now in Williams's guard.
Bond controlling from the top position.
Williams definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Let's hope that Bond has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Bond drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bond jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Williams can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bond controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams trying to keep a closed guard but Bond is proving a slippery customer.

Bond seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bond pushes Williams up against the cage in a clinch.
Bond is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Williams to keep the fight standing.

Bond ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bond no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Williams advances to half guard.
Bond is trying to control but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bond keeps working.
Bond gets back to full guard.

Bond looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bond looking to control.

Bond looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Williams trying to control but Bond is working from the bottom.
Williams chips away with some ground and pound.

Williams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bond is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Williams, into his guard.

Bond is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bond trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Williams is looking for a triangle here but Bond uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Bond is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Williams will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bond is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Williams knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams is looking to regain half guard here but Bond keeps moving and retains side control.

Bond tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bond connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Williams some visible discomfort.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Williams is letting Bond control him for a moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Will Bond dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Williams ducks under a wild hook from Bond.
Will Bond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bond shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Williams throwing a counter right hand but Bond manages to avoid it.
Bond misses with a hook
and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bond shoots in but no luck this time.
Bond throws a lazy right hand but Williams sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Williams leaves Bond with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tin Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Bond.
Bond swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Williams gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bond.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams moves out of range as Bond strikes.
Bond throws a lazy uppercut

and Williams counters with a takedown into side control.

Williams is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bond has escaped the position, nice work there.
Bond is looking to reverse the position.

Bond manages to get back to half guard.
Bond wants to control the action here but instead Williams manages to pass to full mount!
Bond is trying desperately to improve position.
Williams tries to control but Bond wriggling away.
Bond tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Williams swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bond is now in Williams's guard. A big mistake from Williams there, giving up the dominant position!
Bond pushing down on Williams's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Bond wants to work for an arm triangle but Williams is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bond is trying for a kimura here. Williams looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Bond wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Will Bond!
Will Bond seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
