Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Myers (ranked 371 p4p, 2162 weight class) and Miguel Diaz (ranked 49 p4p, 212 weight class). Myers comes to the cage accompanied by In The Hall Of The Mountain King. Maurice Myers could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Miguel Diaz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maurice Myers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Miguel Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers throws a nice looking combination but Diaz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Diaz now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Myers moves out of range of the strikes.
Myers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Diaz is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Diaz connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Diaz tries to clinch up but Myers circles away and keeps his distance.

and Myers counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick by Myers misses
and Diaz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Myers throws a lazy right hand but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Diaz's coach down at Royal Combat Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Diaz's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Diaz thuds his right hand into Myers's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Myers moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz lands a nice looking body shot.
Myers misses with a lunging right hand
and Diaz counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Myers looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Myers connects with a body shot that sends Diaz's belly button to the back.
Diaz takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Diaz stuns Myers with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Diaz scores with a crisp jab that stopped Myers in his tracks.
Diaz is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Myers rather than just go for the knockout.
Myers throws a leg kick which misses Diaz's front leg but catches the back leg as Diaz tries to avoid it.
Myers uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Myers lands a nice looking kick to the body. Diaz takes a step back to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Myers throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A swing and a miss from Diaz.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Myers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Myers feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Diaz tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Myers counters with a straight right hand.
Myers goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Miguel Diaz has been cut.
A nice leg kick from Myers, right into the meat of the thigh.
Myers walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Diaz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A shot to the body from Diaz misses
and Myers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Myers moves into range and connects with a jab.
Myers thuds his shin into the meat of Diaz's side.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Myers pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Myers paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Myers lands with a kick to the temple. Diaz shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Diaz is rocked!
Myers connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Diaz out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Maurice Myers!
An out of breath Maurice Myers thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
