Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tout Petit Gigante (ranked 72 p4p, 461 weight class) and Roman Lenkov (ranked 11 p4p, 53 weight class). Gigante comes to the cage accompanied by Amazing. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lenkov looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Gigante is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lenkov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Lenkov walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gigante checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Lenkov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gigante bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Gigante feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lenkov has his foot on Gigante's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gigante works his way back into a safe position though.

Gigante feints and as Lenkov raises his hands in defense, Gigante changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lenkov is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Gigante has his hands clasped together but Lenkov extends and breaks Gigante's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lenkov.
