Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lian Belmiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Burton!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton stuffs the takedown attempt from Belmiro. Belmiro gets slowly back to his feet.
Belmiro shoots in for a double leg but Burton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Belmiro sizes up Burton with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Burton looks to land a combination but Belmiro avoids it well.
Belmiro was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Belmiro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Burton unleashes a big counter combination but Belmiro bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Burton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Belmiro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Burton pinned against the cage. Burton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lian Belmiro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheers as Burton lands an impressive looking overhand right. Belmiro doesn't seem phased though.

Burton is in all sorts of trouble here.
Belmiro fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Belmiro! Burton is hurt baaadly! Belmiro is firing away with more strikes - Burton is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
