Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dion Barella (ranked 327 p4p, 730 weight class) and Sigmund Salazar (ranked 49 p4p, 99 weight class). Sigmund Salazar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dion Barella! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Sigmund Salazar! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salazar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barella sprawls well. Barella wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Salazar gets slowly back to his feet. Salazar goes for a double leg but Barella avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barella continues to drive forward. Salazar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barella as he avoids it easily. A quick step to the side and Barella tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Dion Barella has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sigmund Salazar.
Barella tries to sprawl but Salazar drives through with a takedown into half guard. Barella wants to control but Salazar is keeping busy.
Barella is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Barella is positioning himself well to prevent Salazar advancing to mount. Barella continues to stall.
Salazar is working for a kimura but Barella is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barella is trying to get back to full guard. Barella moves into full guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salazar looking to pass the guard. Barella is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Barella is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Salazar looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Barella perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Salazar looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Salazar looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salazar wants to get back to full guard.
Salazar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Barella pulls his head out easily. Barella seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Salazar has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Barella. Oh but Salazar has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Barella goes limp - he's gone! Salazar jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
