Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sargis Petrosyan (ranked 196 p4p, 170 weight class) and Lian Belmiro (ranked 25 p4p, 20 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sargis Petrosyan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lian Belmiro! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belmiro has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Petrosyan. Belmiro lands a right hook to the body.
Belmiro throws a jab when Petrosyan was well out of range. Belmiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Petrosyan tries to avoid it but Belmiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Petrosyan to the ground. Petrosyan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Belmiro looks for a takedown but Petrosyan sprawls well. Petrosyan tries a head kick but it misses.
Belmiro connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Petrosyan momentarily.
Petrosyan moves out of range of the strikes. Petrosyan misses with a head kick.
Belmiro throws an overhand right that lands on Petrosyan's shoulder, as Petrosyan tries to avoid the shot. Petrosyan throws a nice outside leg kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Belmiro checks a leg kick. Petrosyan throws a leg kick but Belmiro sees it coming and checks it nicely. Good work by Belmiro as he checks the leg kick. A low kick from Petrosyan is predictable there
and Belmiro counters with a takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Belmiro tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Belmiro is working Petrosyan over with some ground and pound from side control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Belmiro postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Belmiro is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Petrosyan has escaped the position, nice work there. Belmiro looks up at the clock and then as Petrosyan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Belmiro smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Petrosyan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! A slapping leg kick lands for Petrosyan.
Belmiro misses with a takedown attempt - Petrosyan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sargis Petrosyan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lian Belmiro. Petrosyan throws a leg kick but Belmiro checks it. Petrosyan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Belmiro slips a jab and a cross from Petrosyan.
Petrosyan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Petrosyan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Petrosyan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Belmiro dives in for a single leg takedown but Petrosyan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Belmiro throws a body shot but no joy. Belmiro looks to throw the jab but Petrosyan is out of range. Petrosyan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Belmiro. Petrosyan just misses with a punch to the body.
Belmiro swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Petrosyan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Belmiro. Petrosyan stuffs the takedown attempt from Belmiro. Belmiro gets slowly back to his feet. As Belmiro backs away, Petrosyan returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Petrosyan tries a low kick but Belmiro avoids it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Belmiro! But no joy. Petrosyan throws a body punch but Belmiro moves out of range. Petrosyan scores with a nice strike. A head kick from Petrosyan lands but Belmiro takes it in his stride. Petrosyan lands with a straight right. Belmiro didn't see that one coming. Petrosyan misses with a right hand
and Belmiro counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Petrosyan!
Petrosyan bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Sargis Petrosyan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Belmiro with a poor takedown and Petrosyan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Petrosyan with a nice cross. Belmiro shoots in looking for a takedown. Petrosyan tries to sprawl out of it but Belmiro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Petrosyan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Belmiro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Petrosyan counters with a left and a right that stings Belmiro. Petrosyan scores with a sloppy right hand. Belmiro should have avoided that one. Some bone on bone action there as Belmiro checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Petrosyan moves out of range of the strikes. Petrosyan tried to counter with a leg kick but Belmiro avoided it. Petrosyan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Belmiro missing with a left hand there. Petrosyan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Belmiro tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A jab from Petrosyan finds it's way through Belmiro's defenses.
 Belmiro is rocked! Petrosyan with a nice calf kick. Belmiro misses with a hook
and Petrosyan counters with a lovely straight right hand! Belmiro is still on wobbly legs! Can Petrosyan finish him? Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Petrosyan throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Belmiro is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Sargis Petrosyan! Our winner, Sargis Petrosyan, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
