Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikora Tama (ranked 690 p4p, 439 weight class) and Mitch Kingston (ranked 90 p4p, 54 weight class). Tama comes to the cage accompanied by Haka War Dance. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikora Tama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mitch Kingston! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kingston throws a sloppy head kick
so Tama counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kingston keeping moving, preventing Tama from controlling successfully. Tama connects with a couple of short punches.
Tama thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tama trying to control but Kingston is working from the bottom. Tama cracks Kingston with a solid left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kingston is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tama defends well. Kingston wants to control the position but Tama says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Tama throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kingston to regain full guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kingston keeping full guard, as Tama tries to pass. Tama throws a big elbow that misses. Kingston has his hands on Tama's head, controlling the position. Tama trying to control the position from guard on top but Kingston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tama throws a strike but Kingston rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kingston decides to stand back up. A telegraphed right hand from Kingston misses the target. Tama shoots in for a takedown but Kingston shows good takedown defense. Mitch Kingston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kingston misses with a straight right. Kingston throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kingston lands a glancing blow to the side of Tama's head.
 It looks like Nikora Tama has been cut. Tama tries to clinch up and Kingston makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Tama scores with a jab to the jaw. Kingston bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tama's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tama clinches up with Kingston and pushes him back against the cage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tama is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Kingston wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kingston has had enough of the clinch but Tama keeps him there for the moment.
Kingston's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kingston drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Tama clinches. Kingston is looking to break free of the clinch but Tama has double underhooks. Kingston wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kingston throws an overhand right that lands on Tama's shoulder, as Tama tries to avoid the shot. Tama looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Tama tries to clinch there but Kingston circles away.
Kingston dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tama is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kingston sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nikora Tama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Kingston. Kingston misses with a straight left. Kingston swats away the attempt to clinch by Tama. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mitch Kingston dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nikora Tama's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Tama closes the distance but Kingston moves to the side and Kingston counters with a straight right hand.

Tama working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tama won't allow Kingston to sweep him here. Tama throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tama tries to free his leg and advance position but Kingston is retaining full guard. Kingston keeping moving, preventing Tama from controlling successfully.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Tama looking to pass the guard. Kingston is trying to control the position from the bottom.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kingston tries to sprawl but Tama drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kingston has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tama is working away from the top position though. Kingston avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tama. Tama trying to control the action but Kingston is working from the bottom. Nikora Tama overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kingston pushes Tama off but Tama dives into side control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. An elbow from Tama crashes against the mat.
Tama trying to control the position but Kingston is working away. Tama controlling the position. Kingston is trying to control Tama's posture but Tama avoids it. Tama lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kingston down.
Tama has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tama looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kingston is avoiding damage well.
Tama wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kingston keeps working.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Tama throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Tama is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kingston knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kingston is trying to buck Tama off. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tama tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kingston's legs. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nikora Tama dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Nikora Tama's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Tama tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kingston counters with a stiff right hand. Tama catches Kingston with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kingston ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tama moves away. Kingston looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Tama throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kingston was covering up waiting for the punch and Tama finishes the takedown easily into guard. Tama is standing up over Kingston. Kingston looks to escape but Tama dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Kingston wants to get back to his feet. Check out the look on Tama's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Kingston stands up and we're back to a striking position. Tama ducks under a wild hook from Kingston. Kingston thows a left - swing and a miss! Kingston throws a nice outside leg kick. Tama tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kingston paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kingston looks like he wants to counter punch here. Kingston's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tama connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kingston scrambles back to his feet. Tama fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kingston throws a sloppy head kick and Tama moves out of range easily. Tama half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tama tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kingston counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Tama lands with a right hand. Kingston throws a sloppy head kick and Tama moves out of range easily. Kingston takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Tama defending well as Kingston loads up on a big left hand. Kingston circles away from the clinch attempt and Kingston counters with a lovely straight right hand! Tama tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kingston swivels and escapes. Tama tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kingston manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Tama bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Tama changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Tama just misses with a punch to the body.
Kingston swats away the attempt to clinch by Tama. Tama tries to clinch but Kingston moves out of range. Kingston throws out a counter right but Tama avoids it with no problem. Good shot there by Kingston. Tama slips a straight right by Kingston. Kingston throws a lazy uppercut
and Tama counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kingston! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kingston keeps Tama under control for a moment. Tama trying to control the action but Kingston is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Mitch Kingston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kingston has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Mitch Kingston! A relieved looking Mitch Kingston thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. In defeat, Nikora Tama stepped up to the mic, saying 'There is no dishonour in losing honestly, and I did that tonight. The warrior spirit doesn't die easily though, and I'll be back.'.
