Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Prince Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jimmy McGill!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva moves into range and clinches up with McGill.
McGill looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Silva goes for a takedown attempt but McGill pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Silva turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Silva passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McGill!

McGill is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

McGill felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silva throws some wild stikes that McGill manages to avoid easily.

Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McGill for as long as he can get away with.
Silva has hold of McGill's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and McGill manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

McGill wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Silva.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Silva rushes McGill and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Silva has McGill pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending McGill tumbling to the mat - Silva dives into McGill's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
BOOM! Silva connects with a massive shot to the dome!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
