Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Montoya (ranked 414 p4p, 893 weight class) and Long Duck (ranked 55 p4p, 92 weight class). Duck is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Trouble man. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felipe Montoya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Long Duck!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duck swings widly with a right hand
and Montoya counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Duck misses with a wild body shot.
Duck lunges at Montoya with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Montoya's hand.
Duck misses with a looping left.
Long Duck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duck throws a shot from downtown. Montoya moves away and avoids it.
Duck feints and then cracks Montoya's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Montoya down.
Duck tries to work over Montoya's front leg with a kick but Montoya checks it.
A telegraphed right hand from Duck misses the target.
Duck connects with the punch.
Duck throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Montoya sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've been told by Montoya's head coaches at Ludus Magnus that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Montoya counters with a straight right hand.
Duck clobbers Montoya with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Duck tries to move into range but Montoya moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Montoya throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Duck on the side of the head.

Duck connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Montoya's hands.
Montoya scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Duck doesn't seem bothered though.

Duck throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Duck lands with an uppercut that bounces Montoya off the cage and back into range.

A little feinted left hand from Montoya on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

and Duck counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Montoya feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ducks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Montoya counters with a crisp one two that drops Duck! Montoya thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Duck to his feet! Duck is in big trouble!
Duck is rocked!
Montoya lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Duck is still on wobbly legs! Can Montoya finish him?
Duck misses with a looping left.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Duck fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Duck throws a lazy right hand but Montoya sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Montoya slips a jab from Duck.
Montoya lands a left and a right that send Duck crashing to the mat, dazed. Montoya thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Duck on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Montoya bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Duck's head.
Montoya throws a big shot that misses.
Duck throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Duck misses with an uppercut
and Montoya counters with a nice right hand that sends Duck toppling to the canvas! Duck scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Montoya finish him?!
Montoya throws a jab when Duck was well out of range.
Montoya fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Duck to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Duck looks to clinch but Montoya throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Duck taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Felipe Montoya!
Our winner, Felipe Montoya, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Long Duck spoke after the fight, saying 'It is what it is'.
