Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thufir Hawat (ranked 2184 p4p, 2801 weight class) and Ji Hwan Bae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ji Hwan Bae will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 29 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thufir Hawat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ji Hwan Bae! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawat connects with a crisp jab.
 It looks like Ji Hwan Bae has been cut. Hawat fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Hawat has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hawat drops Bae with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bae looks back up at him and smiles so Hawat waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
 Bae is rocked! Hawat changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Bae is still on wobbly legs! Can Hawat finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hawat scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Bae seems to have recovered his senses. Hawat misses the shot to the body. Bae keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bae was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Hawat lands a leg kick that knocks Bae off balance momentarily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Bae looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hawat slaps away a takedown attempt from Bae, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hawat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bae was well out of range. Poor timing from Hawat. Bae tries to counter by closing the distance. Hawat throws a right and a left that both miss.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hawat throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bae stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bae fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hawat avoids it really well and circles away. Thufir Hawat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ji Hwan Bae. A low kick lands for Hawat.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawat lands a body shot.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hawat. Thufir Hawat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hawat scores with a shot to the body.

Bae walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Hawat is looking to wear down Bae with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Bae takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawat explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Bae looks winded! Hawat with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hawat lets loose with a powerful body kick. Bae will feel that in the morning. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hawat lands a left and a right that send Bae crashing to the mat, dazed. Hawat thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Hawat weaves into range and cracks Bae right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Bae goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Hawat is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thufir Hawat! A relieved looking Thufir Hawat thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
