Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rory Curtis (ranked 632 p4p, 790 weight class) and Stewart Charelston (ranked 67 p4p, 84 weight class). Curtis comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - Omen. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rory Curtis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stewart Charelston! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Charelston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Curtis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Charelston defends well and Curtis ends up having to push Charelston into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Curtis has Charelston pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Charelston manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Charelston is trying to break free. Charelston wants to break free but Curtis has control.
Curtis turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Curtis manages to end up in side control. Charelston is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Curtis asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Charelston explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Charelston fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Curtis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Charelston throws a series of punches but Curtis avoids them all with ease. Charelston throws a leg kick but Curtis moved away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Curtis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Charelston to the ground. Curtis is now in Charelston's guard. Curtis trying to control but Charelston is working from the bottom. Curtis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Charelston can do anything to dispel that myth.

Curtis trying to control the position from guard on top but Charelston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Curtis looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Curtis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Charelston for as long as he can get away with. Charelston is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Charelston pushes Curtis off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Curtis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Charelston sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Curtis somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rory Curtis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Charelston throws a shot from downtown. Curtis moves away and avoids it.
Curtis closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Curtis lands in his opponent's guard. Curtis's corner is telling him to maintain position. Curtis works a leg free and moves into half guard. Charelston is trying to stand back up but Curtis is controlling him

Curtis jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Charelston manages to avoid the submission attempt. Curtis prevents Charelston from escaping the position. Curtis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Charelston is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Curtis is trying to get an arm triangle but Charelston is defending well. Charelston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Curtis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that Rory Curtis will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Charelston wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Charelston is trying to stand back up but Curtis is controlling him

Curtis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Charelston tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Curtis is in Charelston's guard. Curtis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Charelston keeping moving, preventing Curtis from controlling successfully. Charelston is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Curtis pushes down on Charelston's leg and manages to get into half guard. Charelston looks like he's trying to stand up.

Charelston has one foot on Curtis's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Curtis stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Charelston.

Charelston manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Curtis keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Both fighters working to control the clinch.

This has been an exciting period of action! Charelston keeping moving, preventing Curtis from controlling successfully. Stewart Charelston has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rory Curtis. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Curtis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Stewart Charelston was interviewed post fight and said 'Evon tho i lost Im just thankfull to share this Octagon with This Leggend give it up for Rory!!'.
