Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sachi Keikain (ranked 2525 p4p, 1892 weight class) and Duc Pham (ranked 246 p4p, 184 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Sachi Keikain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duc Pham! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pham fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Keikain. Keikain with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pham to score with a decent uppercut. Pham lands a jab to the head.
Pham throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Keikain sees it coming and avoids it easily. Pham lands a glancing blow to the side of Keikain's head. Keikain throws a leg kick that misses. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Pham - that will leave a mark!

 That's one minute gone in the round. Pham lands the left hand. Keikain scores with a nice strike. A shot to the body from Pham misses and Keikain finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Keikain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pham only half commits to the counter leg kick. Keikain on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Keikain connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Keikain goes for a high kick. It partially lands. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Keikain on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Nice defenses there by Keikain.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Pham misses with a body kick. Pham slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Pham connects with a right hand. Keikain shakes it off. Keikain keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pham. Pham scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A chopping leg kick lands by Pham. Pham uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Keikain. Pham lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Pham fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Keikain is out of range. Keikain quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Some bone on bone action there as Pham checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Pham feints a counter leg kick. Pham throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Keikain takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Keikain lands a leg kick that knocks Pham off balance momentarily. Pham is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Keikain had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Keikain keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Keikain tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Pham throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A good leg kick by Pham. Keikain takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Keikain closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Pham misses with a straight right. Keikain blocks the body kick.

and Keikain counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pham throws a lazy right hand but Keikain sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pham jabbing away but nothing is landing. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pham, as that shot connected.
Pham has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Pham throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Keikain counters with a nice kick to the body.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Pham lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Keikain thows a body kick. Pham tries to catch it but that hurt him. Pham looks for the body kick but Keikain saw that one coming. Pham pushing out the jab but it's not landing. As Pham backs away, Keikain returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. A low kick from Keikain is predictable there and Pham counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Keikain thinking. Keikain stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pham. A big right from Pham misses. Keikain was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Keikain throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pham swings for the body but Keikain moves out of range.
Keikain was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Pham throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Keikain sees it coming and avoids it easily. Pham throws a low kick, looking for Keikain's leg but Keikain calmly moves out of range. Pham misses with a low kick as Keikain jumps back. Keikain doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. We've been told by Keikain's head coaches at Shut Up & Train! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
 That's five minutes gone in the round.
Keikain takes the fight into the clinch. Keikain misses with some punches.
Keikain lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Keikain blocks a body shot from Pham. Keikain is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Pham misses with a shot to the kidneys.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Keikain is working Pham over against the ropes. Pham lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Keikain misses with a hook from the clinch. Pham blocking some punches.

 That's eight minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Keikain creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Keikain scores with an uppercut up the middle. Pham takes a shot to the head. Pham blocking some punches.

Pham throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Keikain stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Keikain stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pham. Keikain slips under a jab. Keikain takes a shot right to the bread basket. Pham lands a slapping body shot.
Pham misses with a leg kick and Keikain counters with a head kick. That will keep Pham thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Keikain ducks right into an uppercut from Pham. Nice body punch from Keikain. Duc Pham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pham swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Keikain to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Keikain goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Pham throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Keikain counters with a nice low kick that buckles Pham's knee momentarily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pham misses with a jab to the body
and Keikain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Keikain connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sachi Keikain. I think Keikain has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
