A decent looking cross lands there for Newman.

Kuroda shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kuroda showed some decent athleticism there.
Kuroda is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Newman defends it well.
Kuroda is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Newman sees it coming and defends easily.

Newman is defending against the submission attempts here by Kuroda.

Newman won't allow Kuroda to pass to mount.
Kuroda looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kuroda is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Newman has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kuroda has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Newman defend it? Kuroda steps over the head and cranks it - Newman is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kuroda!
