Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Andreyev (ranked 25866 p4p, 5135 weight class) and Rustam Saidov (ranked 447 p4p, 426 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nikolai Andreyev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rustam Saidov!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Andreyev. No joy for Saidov on that attempt.
It looked like Andreyev was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Saidov misses with a takedown attempt
and Andreyev counters with a one-two to the body.

Saidov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Andreyev looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Andreyev wants to get back to his feet but Saidov drags him back down.
Saidov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Saidov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Andreyev will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Andreyev parries the strikes from Saidov easily there. Saidov is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Andreyev to escape.
Andreyev is looking to reverse the position.
Andreyev wants to get back to his feet but Saidov drags him back down.
Andreyev tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Saidov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Andreyev has escaped the position, nice work there.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Saidov working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Saidov is working Andreyev over with some ground and pound from side control.
Saidov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Andreyev some visible discomfort.
Saidov happy to just control the position for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Saidov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Andreyev has escaped the position, nice work there.
Andreyev wants to get back to his feet.
Saidov slows the pace down.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ground and pound from Saidov seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Saidov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Andreyev will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Saidov fails with the takedown.
Andreyev changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Nikolai Andreyev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rustam Saidov.
Andreyev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Saidov pinned against the cage. Saidov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Saidov shoots in for a double leg but Andreyev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Saidov lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Andreyev has hold of Saidov's hands but Saidov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Saidov is taking a breather. Andreyev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Andreyev wants to control but Saidov is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Rustam Saidov dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Saidov closes the distance and clinches up with Andreyev, looking for a takedown. Saidov pushes Andreyev against the cage but Andreyev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Andreyev misses with a takedown attempt - Saidov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Saidov fails to land the takedown.
Andreyev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Saidov but Saidov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Saidov is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Saidov goes for a double leg but Andreyev avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Andreyev continues to drive forward.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Andreyev is trying to escape back to his feet but Saidov uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Andreyev tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Andreyev is trying to control Saidov's posture but Saidov avoids it.
Saidov controls the position from side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Andreyev can't do much from the bottom here.
Andreyev pushes Saidov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Saidov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Saidov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Andreyev manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Andreyev wants to free his trapped foot but Saidov is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Saidov is concentrating on defense, preventing Andreyev from advancing position.
Saidov gets full guard.
Saidov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Andreyev's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saidov controls from within his opponent's guard.
Saidov is continuing to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Saidov passes into half guard.
Saidov slows the pace down in half guard.
Andreyev tries to get to full guard but Saidov has control of the leg.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Saidov connects with a nice short shot to Andreyev's temple.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Rustam Saidov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Andreyev lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Andreyev scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Saidov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Andreyev circles away.

Andreyev gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Andreyev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The adventures of Saidov the control monster continue. Boring.
Let's hope that Saidov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Saidov lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Saidov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Saidov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Andreyev is fending him off so far but Saidov persists. Nope, Andreyev circles away and we're back to standing.

Andreyev drops Saidov with a beautiful combination! Saidov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Andreyev is looking for the KO!

and Andreyev counters with a crisp right that sends Saidov to the canvas! Andreyev follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nikolai Andreyev!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Nikolai Andreyev waved his t-shirt featuring NARCOS's logo in front of the cameras.
