Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wrank Artu (ranked 533 p4p, 776 weight class) and Andriy Lenkov (ranked 75 p4p, 111 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wrank Artu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andriy Lenkov!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lenkov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lenkov wants it to stay on the feet.
Artu fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Artu closes the distance and clinches up with Lenkov, looking for a takedown. Artu pushes Lenkov against the cage but Lenkov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lenkov let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wrank Artu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Artu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lenkov but Lenkov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lenkov! But no joy.
Artu takes a jab right on the kisser.
Artu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lenkov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Artu. Lenkov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Artu moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromLenkov.
Artu shoots for a takedown but Lenkov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lenkov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lenkov steps in with a hook that catches Artu right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Lenkov follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Artu looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andriy Lenkov!
