Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Lineker (ranked 3736 p4p, 3839 weight class) and Rex Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 361 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Lineker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rex Carlson! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by Lineker. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lineker. Carlson misses with a takedown and Lineker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Carlson scores with a takedown into Lineker's guard. Carlson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carlson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Carlson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Carlson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Carlson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The crowd cheers as Lineker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Carlson doesn't seem phased though. Carlson misses with a double jab
and Lineker counters with a nice uppercut. Carlson takes a swing at Lineker's ribcage but misses. Carlson thows a leg kick but Lineker checks it enabling Lineker to counter with a crisp jab.
 Carlson is rocked!
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lineker tries to keep at a distance but Carlson has taken the fight into the clinch. Carlson is still on wobbly legs! Can Lineker finish him? Carlson prevents a body shot from Lineker. Lineker swings wildly with an uppercut but Carlson uses good head movement to avoid it. Carlson seems to have recovered his senses. Lineker looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Carlson has Lineker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lineker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Lineker throws a punch but it's blocked by Carlson. Lineker struggles to land a body shot inside as Carlson controls his hands.

Lineker has a couple of punches blocked by Carlson.
Carlson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carlson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lineker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carlson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lineker has escaped the position, nice work there. Carlson working away.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Lineker is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carlson controlling the position. Lineker takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Carlson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lineker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Carlson in side control, just content to control the action for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carlson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rex Carlson will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Lineker counters with a nice body shot. Carlson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lineker.
Carlson dives in and scores a takedown into Lineker's guard. Carlson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Carlson is continuing to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carlson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lineker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carlson, into his guard.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Carlson wants to sweep but no luck. Carlson is pulling down on Lineker's head to control his posture.
Carlson has his foot on Lineker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lineker works his way back into a safe position though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lineker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Carlson rushes Lineker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lineker doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lineker misses with a body punch.
Lineker misses with a punch to the body.
Carlson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lineker clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Carlson is breathing heavily. Carlson is trying to stick to Lineker's back but Lineker is turning into Carlson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Carlson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lineker.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Lineker preventing the sweep. Lineker being controlled here momentarily.
Carlson is working an open guard so Lineker takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rex Carlson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carlson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Carlson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lineker has taken the fight to the clinch.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlson is looking to break free of the clinch but Lineker has double underhooks. Lineker scores with a shot to the side of Carlson's head. Lineker misses with a hook from the clinch. Carlson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lineker pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gary Lineker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carlson walks into a straight right hand from Lineker. Lineker scores with a decent looking hook. Carlson throws a lazy uppercut
and Lineker counters with a big right hand! Oh Carlson is in trouble here! Lineker follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gary Lineker!
