Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Pike (ranked 412 p4p, 684 weight class) and Yuya Shimizu (ranked 46 p4p, 69 weight class). Pike comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Intro. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Pike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Yuya Shimizu!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pike dodges the punch combination from Shimizu.
Shimizu throws a head kick but Pike moves out of range.
As Shimizu tries to get set, Pike tries to push him back and clinch up but Shimizu manages to avoid the attempt.
Shimizu throws a sloppy head kick and Pike moves out of range easily.
Pike has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Shimizu.
Pike throws a jab but it's blocked by Shimizu.
A head kick misses from Shimizu.
Pike misses with a low kick.
Shimizu lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Pike instigates a clinch.
Pike misses with a hook to the ribs.
Shimizu fails to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pike lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shimizu backwards.
It looks like Yuya Shimizu has been cut.
Pike can't find room to land a body shot as Shimizu controls the action.
Pike tries to work over Shimizu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Shimizu blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Shimizu takes a shot to the head.

Shimizu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shimizu lands a jab to the nose.
Shimizu defending well as Pike loads up on a big left hand.
Shimizu is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Shimizu throws a head kick that misses.
Pike misses with a body shot.
Pike has managed to clinch.
Pike struggles to land a body shot inside as Shimizu controls his hands.
Shimizu can't get the takedown.
Shimizu gets control of Pike's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shimizu will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Shimizu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pike is aware though and is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Shimizu tries to bum rush Pike with a series of wild strikes but Pike uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shimizu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shimizu gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Shimizu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pike moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pike moves out of range of the body kick.
Shimizu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pike tries a head kick but it misses.
Pike throws a push kick but Shimizu slaps the foot to one side.
Pike ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A combination from Shimizu does no damage.
Pike checks a low kick from Shimizu.
Shimizu checks a low kick from Pike.
Pike throws a wild body kick that Shimizu sees coming a mile off.
Shimizu throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pike counters with a nice uppercut.
The cut above Yuya Shimizu's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Pike tried to score with a low kick but Shimizu checks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Shimizu misses with a few strikes there.
Yuya Shimizu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shimizu looks winded!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shimizu ducks under a wild hook from Pike.
Shimizu throws a counter combo.
Pike is looking to clinch.
A head kick misses from Shimizu.
Shimizu throws a body punch but Pike moves out of range.
Shimizu scores with a body shot.
Shimizu lands with a kick to the temple. Pike shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Pike has managed to clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Pike fails to land.
Pike jumps guard and drags Shimizu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Pike looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Shimizu passes into half guard.
Shimizu is trying to control. Pike wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Christopher Pike will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Yuya Shimizu's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Pike doesn't manage to clinch there - Shimizu circles away.
Pike throws a solid leg kick but Shimizu takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Pike.
Pike scores with a nice body kick.
Shimizu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pike manages to avoid it.
Pike misses with an uppercut. Shimizu saw that one coming.
Pike takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Pike tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shimizu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Shimizu lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pike has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pike and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Shimizu fails to pull guard.
Pike tries a body shot but Shimizu blocks it.

Shimizu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pike circles away quickly and effectively.

Shimizu throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Pike connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Yuya Shimizu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Christopher Pike!
An out of breath Christopher Pike thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
