Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Ghost Chai!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tama throws a body punch but Chai moves out of range.
Tama fails in his attempt to clinch.

It looks like Nikora Tama has been cut.
Tama tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chai swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Chai swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Tama takes a swing at Chai's ribcage but misses.
Chai raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
That kick from Chai tenderised Tama's leg. Tama is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've been hearing reports that Tama has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Chai walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tama is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chai appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tama bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Tama fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chai sprawls well initially but Tama persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Tama thows a huge punch but Chai dodges it nicely.
Tama has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tama wants to pass to mount but Chai is defending the position.
Chai wants to improve his position but Tama is controlling well.
Tama content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Tama missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Tama wants to take a breather but Chai is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tama not doing much here.
Tama not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Tama content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Tama missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Tama is looking to take a break and control but Chai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Tama throwing shots but Chai is blocking nicely.
Tama slows the pace down in half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Tama closes the distance and clinches up with Chai, looking for a takedown. Tama pushes Chai against the cage but Chai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tama walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Chai looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Chai blocks a jab.
Whack! Chai lands a heavy head kick that drops Tama. The ref tackles Chai to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Tama was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Ghost Chai!
Our winner, Ghost Chai, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Nikora Tama spoke after the fight, saying 'There is no dishonour in losing honestly, and I did that tonight. The warrior spirit doesn't die easily though, and I'll be back.'.
