Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harrison Rose (ranked 969 p4p, 1179 weight class) and Jack Manion (ranked 114 p4p, 130 weight class). Manion is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Solid Rock. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Harrison Rose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Manion! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manion fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rose manages to avoid it. Manion swings for the body but Rose moves out of range.
Rose is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Manion falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rose counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Rose misses the body punch and Manion counters with a straight right hand.
Manion looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rose pushes Manion off and gets back to his feet.
Rose takes a jab right on the kisser.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Manion lands with a good body shot. Manion with a hook. Manion uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rose has time to react. Harrison Rose is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Manion. A combination from Rose does no damage. Manion swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Manion scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Manion fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Manion bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Manion fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Manion darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Manion is working for a submission of some sort.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Manion in particular looking to stall. Rose is looking to escape.
Manion is working for a kimura but Rose is defending it quite comfortably.
Manion is pressing down on Rose's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rose is holding on for now.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Manion is looking for submissions but instead, Rose has regained full guard.
Manion trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Manion wants to control from the top but Rose keeps moving.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Manion looking to sit in guard and control but Rose gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Manion is on top in guard.

Manion seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jack Manion is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Our spies down at at SYDNEY ELITE GYM inform us that Manion has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Rose is looking to stand up but Manion won't let him.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rose preventing the sweep. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Manion holds on and takes a little breather.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Rose takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Rose lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
 It looks like Jack Manion has been cut. Manion throws a jab when Rose was well out of range. An attempted straight right counter from Rose misses the target. Manion scores with a nice head shot. Manion shoots in looking for a takedown but Rose manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Manion's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Harrison Rose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Manion. Manion pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Manion scores with a hook. The fighters circling - Manion throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Rose slips under a jab from Manion. A little feinted left hand from Rose on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Rose throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Manion swings and misses with a shot to the body and Rose counters with a nice uppercut. Rose stuffs the takedown attempt from Manion. Manion gets slowly back to his feet. Rose throws a jab when Manion was well out of range. Manion tries to clinch up and Rose counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Manion misses with a takedown attempt and Rose connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Manion misses the shot to the body. Rose appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Manion drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Rose takes a shot right to the bread basket. Rose ducks right into an uppercut from Manion.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Manion takes a shot right to the bread basket. Manion just misses with a punch to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action! Manion lands with a shot to the body. Manion slips under a jab from Rose. Manion rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rose counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Manion takes a swing at Rose's ribcage but misses. Manion throws a shot to the body.
A jab from Rose finds it's way through Manion's defenses. Jab from Manion. Rose tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manion was well out of range. Poor timing from Rose. Manion shoots in and drives through. Rose sprawls well. Rose looks to land a right hand but Manion moved out of range. Manion smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. It looks like Rose has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round.
Manion shoots in and bounces Rose off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Rose has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the ropes to get back to his feet. Manion has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the ropes. Manion blocks an uppercut.
Rose throws a head punch that misses.
Manion decides to pull guard. Rose wants to get up but he can't break Manion's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Manion has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Rose has passed into side control.
Manion is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Harrison Rose. I think Rose has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
