Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pate Ro (ranked 595 p4p, 1933 weight class) and Zoltan Szobo (ranked 82 p4p, 214 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pate Ro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zoltan Szobo!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ro just misses with a punch to the body.
Szobo tries to clinch up but Ro circles away and keeps his distance.
Szobo lands a left and a right that send Ro crashing to the mat, dazed. Szobo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Ro avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ro appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Szobo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Ro to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Zoltan Szobo has been cut.
Szobo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ro backs up against the cage.
Ro is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Szobo darts in looking for a takedown but Ro gets double underhooks and turns Szobo into the cage.
Ro moves into the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Ro.
Szobo looks winded!
Ro has Szobo pressed against the cage.
Ro manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Szobo is looking to take this one to the mat.
Pate Ro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zoltan Szobo.
Ro lands a hook that snaps the head of Szobo backwards.
Ro gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Szobo.
I was talking to Ro's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Szobo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ro gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Szobo takes a shot to the head.
Ro throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ro for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ro - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ro stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ro breaks the clinch.
Szobo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Szobo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ro fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Szobo, pushing him back against the cage.

Szobo wants to take the fight to the mat but Ro manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

That has opened up Zoltan Szobo's cut even more.

Szobo leaves his chin hanging out and Ro seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Szobo crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
