Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Garcia (ranked 2298 p4p, 1803 weight class) and John Sullivan (ranked 224 p4p, 181 weight class). Garcia comes into the arena with Can't Be Touched blaring out of the sound system. John Sullivan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sullivan on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Garcia fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sullivan checks it well.
Garcia misses with a kick to the body.
Sullivan let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Garcia swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sullivan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Garcia moves away.
Garcia lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sullivan's sensitive parts.

As Sullivan backs away, Garcia returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sullivan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garcia.
Garcia throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sullivan on the side of the head.

Sullivan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Garcia sprawls well initially but Sullivan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sullivan is trying to control the action in half guard but Garcia is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Garcia regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sullivan.

Garcia seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Garcia wants to sweep here but Sullivan controlling him for the moment.
Sullivan throws an elbow that misses. Garcia uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sullivan's guard. Nice move by Garcia!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sullivan has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Garcia has passed into side control.

Sullivan is trying to control but can't.

Garcia tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sullivan tries to get to full guard but Garcia has control of the leg.
Sullivan has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Garcia displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sullivan.

Garcia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sullivan lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Garcia throws a solid leg kick but Sullivan takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Garcia.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sullivan catches Garcia with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Sullivan misses with an uppercut. Garcia saw that one coming.

John Sullivan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Garcia scores with a hook to the body. Sullivan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Garcia fails to land with a series of punches.
Garcia lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sullivan will feel that in the morning.
Garcia pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Garcia tries to work over Sullivan's front leg with a kick but Sullivan checks it.

Garcia's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sullivan under the eye.

Sullivan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Garcia.

Sullivan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Garcia's head backwards.
Garcia swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Garcia lands a two punch combo.
Sullivan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Sullivan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Garcia throws a low kick but Sullivan avoids it.
Sullivan let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Sullivan lands a big uppercut and Garcia crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Garcia looks OK. Sullivan waves Garcia back to his feet!
Garcia is rocked!
Sullivan flashes Garcia a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Garcia's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Garcia crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Sullivan punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
