Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickie Reeves (ranked 2980 p4p, 2609 weight class) and Long Runner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickie Reeves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Long Runner!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Reeves lands.
Runner misses with a hook
and Reeves counters with a stiff right hand.
Reeves lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Runner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Runner swings away with a body shot that misses
and Reeves cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Runner takes a jab right on the kisser.
Runner misses with a left hand
and Reeves counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Runner thinking.
Runner moves forwards but Reeves connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Runner dives in and grabs Reeves's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reeves pushes down on Runner's head and hops out.
Reeves scores with a jab to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A shot to the body from Runner misses
and Reeves counters with a three punch combo that has Runner backing up. Runner nods at Reeves to acknowledge the strikes.
Reeves definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Reeves gets caught flat footed, as Runner shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Runner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Runner slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Runner drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Runner as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Reeves screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Runner! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Long Runner!
