Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Grobbelaar (ranked 1528 p4p, 1515 weight class) and Chad Gepte (ranked 198 p4p, 196 weight class). Gepte comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Styx - Mr. Roboto kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gepte misses with a wild body shot.

Grobbelaar has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Physical Graffiti in the buildup to the fight.
Gepte tries a head kick but it misses.
Grobbelaar ducks under a wild hook from Gepte.
Grobbelaar stuffs the takedown.

Grobbelaar lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Grobbelaar checks a leg kick.
Grobbelaar tries to counter by clinching up but Gepte breaks away and moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gepte lands with an overhand left.
Grobbelaar throws a jab but it's blocked by Gepte.

Gepte with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A left lands for Gepte.

Gepte throws a hook but Grobbelaar avoids it easily.
Grobbelaar checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Gepte throws an off balance right hand
and Grobbelaar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Grobbelaar breaks the clinch.
Gepte attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Gepte just misses with a punch to the body.
Gepte throws a body shot but no joy.
Grobbelaar blocks a head kick by Gepte.
Some bone on bone action there as Grobbelaar checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Grobbelaar chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gepte tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Grobbelaar defends well and Gepte ends up having to push Grobbelaar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Nice body punch from Gepte.
Chad Gepte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grobbelaar cracks Gepte with a right hand to the side of the head.
Gepte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grobbelaar was well out of range. Poor timing from Gepte.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gepte loads up on a big right hand but Grobbelaar slips the punch.
The fighters circle, before Grobbelaar throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Gepte's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Grobbelaar lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
