Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Yuya Shimizu!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimizu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Smith throws a shot to the body.
Smith pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Smith fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Shimizu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shimizu takes one on the button.
It looks like Yuya Shimizu has been cut.
Smith throws a nice head kick!
Good exchange - Shimizu coming out on top.
Shimizu lands a jab-cross combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shimizu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smith has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Far-Q Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
Smith blocks a head kick by Shimizu.
Smith goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The cut above Yuya Shimizu's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Shimizu drops his hands momentarily and Smith takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Shimizu is rocked!
Yuya Shimizu's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Yuya Shimizu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John Joe Smith!
An out of breath John Joe Smith thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
