Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hoodoo Brown (ranked 72 p4p, 81 weight class) and Li Gong (ranked 7 p4p, 8 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Hoodoo Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Li Gong!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gong walks into a straight right hand from Brown.
Gong throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily.
Brown cracks Gong with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Brown takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gong scores with a jab to the jaw.
Brown looks to land a right hand but Gong moved out of range.
Brown shoots in and drives through. Gong sprawls well.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gong! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown throws a hook but Gong avoids it easily.

Brown postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gong is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brown, into his guard.
Brown has his foot on Gong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gong works his way back into a safe position though.

Brown has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gong is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brown.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Brown looks to land a left hand but Gong moved out of range nicely.
A nice side step and Gong releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Gong looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Brown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Brown creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Gong sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

We've been hearing that Brown has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
