Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris John (ranked 411 p4p, 857 weight class) and Don WhipAhoo (ranked 48 p4p, 96 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think John might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Don't Stop Me Now. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 29 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Chris John! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Don WhipAhoo! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and James Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! WhipAhoo throws a shot from downtown. John moves away and avoids it. John throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. It seemed like WhipAhoo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. WhipAhoo defending well as John loads up on a big left hand. John throws a solid leg kick but WhipAhoo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at John. WhipAhoo sizes up John with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. WhipAhoo thows a left - swing and a miss! WhipAhoo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
John uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by WhipAhoo.
A head kick misses from WhipAhoo. A nice inside leg kick there by John. That's going to slow WhipAhoo down. A nice leg kick lands there from John. Chris John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. WhipAhoo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. John looks to land a left hand but WhipAhoo moved out of range nicely. WhipAhoo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice body punch from John. John swings for the body but WhipAhoo moves out of range.
John cracks WhipAhoo with a good jab. John has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A nice leg kick lands there from WhipAhoo.
 That's one minute gone in the round. WhipAhoo scores with a nice head shot. WhipAhoo throws a head kick that misses. An inside leg kick lands from WhipAhoo. John turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. WhipAhoo tries to move into range but John moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. WhipAhoo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. John looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. WhipAhoo throws a right and a left that John avoids nicely. WhipAhoo walks into a jab. John throws out a leg kick but WhipAhoo moves out of range and John only half commits. John fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and WhipAhoo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A slapping leg kick lands for WhipAhoo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. John with a body punch. A glancing blow. WhipAhoo ducks under a wild hook from John. A nice side step and WhipAhoo releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. WhipAhoo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. John throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. WhipAhoo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent John stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. John misses with a looping left. And an attempted straight right on the counter from WhipAhoo! But no joy.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. John lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. John scores with a kick to the midsection. John looks to land a left hand but WhipAhoo moved out of range nicely. John throws out a token jab with nothing on it. John lands with a thumping leg kick.
John throws a leg kick but WhipAhoo checks it. WhipAhoo connects with the punch. WhipAhoo defending well as John loads up on a big left hand. John lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. WhipAhoo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from John. Good standup being displayed there by WhipAhoo as he connects with a hook. John turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. John misses the shot to the body. The fight stays on the outside here - WhipAhoo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. John appears to be looking for a counter takedown. John blocks a jab. John blocks a jab.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. WhipAhoo lands with a slapping head kick. John jabbing away but nothing is landing. WhipAhoo looks like he wants to counter punch here. John throws a jab but it's blocked by WhipAhoo. WhipAhoo misses the jab. WhipAhoo walks into a left hand. John displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as WhipAhoo throws out the jab. John lands with a thumping leg kick.
John misses with an uppercut. John takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. WhipAhoo misses with a head kick.
WhipAhoo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
 John is rocked!
 It looks like Chris John has been cut. WhipAhoo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from John. WhipAhoo ducks right into an uppercut from John. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! WhipAhoo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches John on the side of the head. Oh John is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! John lands a nice looking body shot.
John slips a straight right by WhipAhoo. John appears to be looking for a counter takedown. WhipAhoo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. John tried to score with a low kick but WhipAhoo checks it. WhipAhoo lands a big head kick that sends John to the canvas! WhipAhoo follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don WhipAhoo! After winning the bout, Don WhipAhoo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
