Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Midget Mode Jones (ranked 2634 p4p, 3046 weight class) and Swinzey Mckinney (ranked 247 p4p, 275 weight class). Swinzey Mckinney told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Midget Mode Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Swinzey Mckinney!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Mckinney tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mckinney manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mckinney scores with a hook to the body. Jones takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mckinney but Mckinney pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones swings for the body but Mckinney moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A shot to the liver by Mckinney. Beautiful body shot.
Mckinney looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jones misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mckinney counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mckinney fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.
Mckinney gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mckinney manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Mckinney in his guard.
Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mckinney doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mckinney manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mckinney slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mckinney must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mckinney can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mckinney won't allow Jones to sweep him here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Midget Mode Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mckinney drops Jones with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jones looks back up at him and smiles so Mckinney waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Jones is rocked!
It looks like Midget Mode Jones has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mckinney is able to avoid easily.

and Mckinney counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jones thinking.
Swinzey Mckinney seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Jones dives in for a single leg takedown but Mckinney sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Mckinney has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Mckinney digs a right hand underneath Jones's ribcage. Jones let out a lung full of air as it connected.
