The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carmont fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thibodeaux manages to avoid it.
Carmont swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Thibodeaux counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Thibodeaux uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carmont.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Carmont looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Carmont shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carmont was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Thibodeaux is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Carmont throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Thibodeaux works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
