Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexey Markov (ranked 26 p4p, 227 weight class) and Pyay Thuta (ranked 3 p4p, 4 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexey Markov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Pyay Thuta!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markov ducks under a wild hook from Thuta.
Thuta misses with an uppercut
and Markov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A jab from Thuta finds it's way through Markov's defenses.
Markov connects with a nice looking jab.
Thuta moves into range and connects with a jab.
Thuta scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Markov looks to throw the jab but Thuta is out of range.
It seemed like Thuta was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Markov misses with a straight left.
Thuta scores with a jab.
Markov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thuta can pounce on him.
Thuta lunges at Markov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Markov's hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Markov throws a big shot that misses.
Markov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Markov moves out of range of the leg kick from Thuta.
A little feinted left hand from Markov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A left lands for Thuta.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thuta displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Markov throws out the jab.
Markov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Thuta dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Markov. That did some damage!
Thuta lands a right hook to the body.
Thuta throws the left hand but Markov avoids the punch easily.

and Markov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fighters circling - Thuta throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Thuta throws a low kick but Markov avoids it.

Pyay Thuta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thuta throws a right hand that misses
and Markov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Thuta throws a sloppy body shot
and Markov counters with a nice right hand that sends Thuta toppling to the canvas! Thuta scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Markov finish him?!
It looks like Pyay Thuta has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Markov misses with an uppercut.
Markov drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Thuta right on the button. Thuta goes down! Markov follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Markov gets the win via TKO!
