Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rip Stone (ranked 3827 p4p, 3781 weight class) and Raiden Theppawong (ranked 132 p4p, 131 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rip Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Raiden Theppawong!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Theppawong blocks a jab.

Theppawong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stone paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A jab lands there for Theppawong.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rip Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Theppawong takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stone ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Theppawong, as that shot connected.
Theppawong keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Theppawong looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Stone looks to throw the jab but Theppawong is out of range.

Stone throws a looping overhand right but Theppawong ducks down to avoid it.
It seemed like Theppawong was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Stone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Theppawong manages to avoid it.

and Theppawong counters with a nice uppercut.

Theppawong uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stone.

enabling Theppawong to counter with a crisp jab.
Theppawong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Theppawong with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Theppawong avoids the body shot from Stone.
A telegraphed right hand from Theppawong misses the target.
Theppawong jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Stone circles away from the clinch attempt.
Theppawong bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stone's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Theppawong has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Stone uses from the top position.
Our spies down at at Place of the Way inform us that Theppawong has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Stone wants to get up but he can't break Theppawong's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

A relieved looking Raiden Theppawong thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
