Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lyman Hicks (ranked 2107 p4p, 2870 weight class) and Darren Dixon (ranked 173 p4p, 232 weight class). Hicks's entrance music is The Chambers Brothers - Time Has Come Today. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon misses with a hook to the body
and Hicks counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hicks lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dixon at a distance.
Dixon needs to keep his hands up - Hicks had a free shot at his head there.
Good standup being displayed there by Hicks as he connects with a hook.
Hicks works the jab nicely.
Hicks scores with the left hand. Dixon knows he should have avoided that one.
Dixon misses with a right hand
and Hicks counters with a nice uppercut.
Hicks throws a right and a left that Dixon avoids nicely.
Dixon misses with a body punch
and Hicks counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hicks throws a left that rocks Dixon and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Hicks dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Dixon regain composure!
Dixon is rocked!
It looks like Darren Dixon has been cut.
Hicks scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Dixon is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Hicks can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
