Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Spicoli (ranked 69 p4p, 42 weight class) and David Hanson (ranked 11 p4p, 8 weight class). Spicoli comes to the cage accompanied by Money Buy Drugs. Hanson has chosen Subcouds - on red as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as David Hanson enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Spicoli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 1, fighting out of London, David Hanson!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spicoli throws a jab when Hanson was well out of range.
Spicoli pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hanson or perhaps it was just good defense by Spicoli, which made it look bad.
Spicoli throws a body shot but no joy.
Hanson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Spicoli wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hanson has managed to clinch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hanson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hanson goes for a takedown attempt but Spicoli pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Spicoli misses with an uppercut. Hanson saw that one coming.
Hanson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Spicoli defends it well.

Hanson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Spicoli gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
