Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Zweihander (ranked 1 p4p, 18 weight class) and Harrison Kiely (ranked 1 p4p, 2 weight class). Kiely has chosen Swan Song as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 38 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kurt Zweihander! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Harrison Kiely! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Zweihander misses with a hook. Kiely ducked under it nicely. Kiely keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Zweihander. Kiely doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Zweihander misses the body punch and Kiely counters with a left and a right that stings Zweihander. Zweihander misses the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zweihander misses with a left hand
and Kiely counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kiely. Zweihander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kiely trying to control but Zweihander is working from the bottom. Zweihander wants to get back to his feet but Kiely is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kiely trying to control the position from guard on top but Zweihander is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zweihander is looking to stand up but Kiely isn't so interested in that idea. Kiely is pushing down on Zweihander's leg trying to pass to half guard. Zweihander is fighting to maintain full guard but Kiely has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kiely is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zweihander defends it well. Zweihander is looking to escape. Kiely is trying to control. Zweihander wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Zweihander wants to get back to his feet.
Kiely is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Zweihander tries to kick Kiely off in order to stand up. Kiely Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kiely has knee on belly and moves into mount. Kiely wants to control the pace but Zweihander is squirming around nicely. Zweihander squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Kiely controlling the position easily from mount. Zweihander is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Kiely jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Zweihander manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kiely wants to control but Zweihander is keeping him busy.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Zweihander gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Kiely controlling his opponent. Kiely trying to control but Zweihander is having none of it.
Zweihander somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Nice straight punches there by Zweihander. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Zweihander.

and Kiely counters with a single leg into guard. Zweihander didn't expect that. Kiely stops Zweihander from standing up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kiely trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Zweihander keeping moving, preventing Kiely from controlling successfully. Zweihander can't keep his opponent in guard - Kiely advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Zweihander looks to score with a jab to the body but Kiely is just out of range. Kiely changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Zweihander throws an off balance right hand
and Kiely counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kiely ducks under a wild hook from Zweihander. A little jabbing left from Kiely on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zweihander throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Zweihander rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kiely counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Zweihander thinking. Zweihander digs a good hook to Kiely's body.

and Kiely counters with a stiff right hand. A jab from Zweihander misses. Kiely throws a counter combo. Kurt Zweihander is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zweihander is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kiely. Kiely throws out a counter right but Zweihander avoids it with no problem. Zweihander throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kiely connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Zweihander misses with a body shot.
It seemed like Kiely was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Zweihander looks to land a right hand but Kiely moved out of range. Kiely is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Zweihander with a body shot.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Zweihander misses the target. Zweihander scores with a nice body kick.
Kiely chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Zweihander can pounce on him.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Zweihander misses with a right hand enabling Kiely to counter with a crisp jab. Zweihander connects with a body shot. Kurt Zweihander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zweihander moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

and Kiely connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kurt Zweihander will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Zweihander knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kiely is looking to take a break and control but Zweihander is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.  That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kiely is keen to just control but Zweihander is a slippery customer.
Kiely is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Zweihander has managed to free his arm - good work. Kiely looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kiely passes the guard and advances to mount! Kiely takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zweihander's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Nice cross by Zweihander. Zweihander lunges at Kiely with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kiely's hand. Zweihander moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Zweihander's corner calls for a 1-2. Zweihander obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zweihander tries a head kick but it misses.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kiely! But no joy. Kiely has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Kiely walks into a left hand. Zweihander pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kiely has control of Zweihander's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Zweihander regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Zweihander tries to buck Kiely off but he can't manage it.
And that's the end of the fight! Kurt Zweihander showed his dominance in that final round. I think Zweihander has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
