Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr Bean (ranked 1754 p4p, 2573 weight class) and Bugg Nevans (ranked 213 p4p, 285 weight class). Bugg Nevans has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mr Bean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bugg Nevans! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bean is looking to clinch. Nevans thinks about the counter body kick. Bean moves in looking to clinch but Nevans pushes him off. Nevans tries a quick counter leg kick but Bean is wise to it. Bean fails in his attempt to clinch. Bean moves to clinch but Nevans breaks away and Nevans counters with a low kick, right behind Bean 's knee. Bean looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Bean gets a takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bean takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Bean wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nevans keeps working. Bean prevents Nevans from improving his position. Bean trying to control the pace. Bean working Nevans over with strikes.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nevans is looking for a sweep. Bean is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bean is trying to control the action in half guard but Nevans is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nevans is trying to control but can't.
Bean working Nevans over with strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nevans can do anything to dispel that myth.
Nevans is kicking away at Bean from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Bean grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Nevans trying to push Bean off... Nevans taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Mr Bean!
