Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobo Valdenius (ranked 737 p4p, 501 weight class) and Del Salar (ranked 88 p4p, 62 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bobo Valdenius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Del Salar!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salar takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nice uppercut there from Valdenius.
Valdenius bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Valdenius goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Salar has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Valdenius but great work by Salar.
Valdenius tries to bench press Salar off him but Salar keeps the position.
Valdenius wants to control but Salar postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Valdenius holds on and takes a little breather.

Salar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salar wants it to stay on the feet.
It seemed like Salar was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

enabling Salar to counter with a crisp jab.
Valdenius is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Salar.

and Salar counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Valdenius thinking.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Salar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Valdenius's head backwards.
Valdenius looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Valdenius ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salar moves away.
Salar swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Salar scores with a nice right hand.
Valdenius lands an overhand right.
Valdenius throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Salar counters with a left to the body.
Salar has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Valdenius is breathing heavily.
Salar scores with a hook to the body. Valdenius takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Salar feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Valdenius sprawling to the canvas! Valdenius rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Salar finish him?!
Valdenius is rocked!
Salar fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Valdenius has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Oh Valdenius is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Valdenius looks to score with a jab to the body but Salar is just out of range.
Valdenius seems to have got his legs back now.
Salar throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Salar counters with a nice right hand that sends Valdenius toppling to the canvas! Valdenius scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Salar finish him?!
Salar is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Valdenius had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Salar cracks Valdenius with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Del Salar!
Del Salar seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
