Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Hanson (ranked 289 p4p, 69 weight class) and Jeff Spicoli (ranked 43 p4p, 13 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, David Hanson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Spicoli!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Hanson looks for a takedown but Spicoli sprawls well.
Spicoli now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hanson shoots and misses
and Hanson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hanson shoots in and bounces Spicoli off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hanson is working to tighten his grip on Spicoli's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Spicoli has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hanson is really squeezing tight and eventually Spicoli passes out! Hanson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

David Hanson gave a mention to Furnace Performance 🔥 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
Jeff Spicoli was interviewed post fight and said 'Bogus!! That was my skull!'.
