Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gilberto Moon (ranked 3286 p4p, 3907 weight class) and Joaquin Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 424 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gilberto Moon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joaquin Chase!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase walks into a stiff left hand from Moon.
Moon misses with a right hand
and Chase counters with a crisp one two that drops Moon! Chase thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Moon to his feet! Moon is in big trouble!
Chase shoots in looking for a takedown but Moon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chase's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Chase is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chase tries to clinch but Moon moves away
and Moon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Moon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Moon throws a hook but Chase blocks it.
Chase ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Moon looks to throw the jab but Chase is out of range.
Chase with the counter takedown but Moon avoids it easily.
Chase swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Moon counters with a stiff right hand.
Moon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chase tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Moon counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Moon wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Chase misses with a takedown
and Moon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Moon jabs Chase to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Moon scores with a decent looking hook.
A lazy left from Moon finds it's target.
Moon throws a shot to the body.
Chase looks winded!
Chase shoots and misses
enabling Moon to counter with a crisp jab.
Gilberto Moon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquin Chase.
Moon scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Moon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Chases jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Gilberto Moon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chase tries to clinch up but Moon circles away and keeps his distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Moon lands a jab to Chase's midsection.
Moon definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Moon lands a big uppercut and Chase crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Chase looks OK. Moon waves Chase back to his feet!
Chase is rocked!
Moon cracks Chase with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Chase falls to his knees and Moon doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gilberto Moon!
