Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thufir Hawat (ranked 1841 p4p, 1070 weight class) and Diego Lacasa (ranked 227 p4p, 143 weight class). Lacasa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Por Mi Mexico. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 33 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thufir Hawat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Lacasa!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacasa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hawat has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hawat misses with a body shot.
Hawat throws a combination that misses
and Hawat takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Thufir Hawat has been cut.
A jab from Hawat finds it's way through Lacasa's defenses.
Hawat jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hawat wants to land a leg kick but Lacasa is out of range.
Hawat throws out a powerful jab.
Hawat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lacasa was well out of range. Poor timing from Hawat.
Hawat throws a quick inside leg kick.
Thufir Hawat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hawat throws a leg kick but Lacasa checks it.
Lacasa looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Hawat scores with a shot to the body.
Hawat lands with a nice body punch.
Hawat throws a wild body kick that Lacasa sees coming a mile off.
It seemed like Lacasa was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hawat throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lacasa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Good shot there by Hawat.
A low kick from Hawat misses
and Lacasa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hawat rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Lacasa counter with a right hand.
Thufir Hawat's cut is getting worse.
Hawat misses with a left hand
and Lacasa counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Lacasa takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hawat is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Hawat misses with a telegraphed body shot
letting Lacasa counter with a right hand.
Hawat is rocked!
Hawat misses with a leg kick
and Lacasa counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Hawat out cold! What a finish! Lacasa is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Diego Lacasa!
