Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alain Braque (ranked 698 p4p, 1500 weight class) and Lucca Decker (ranked 85 p4p, 176 weight class). Braque kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enchanted Forest. Alain Braque could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lucca Decker's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucca Decker!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decker wants to slow Braque down by chopping away at his legs.
Braque gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Decker misses with a shot to the kidneys.
I was talking to Braque's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Braque has Decker pressed against the cage, preventing Decker from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Decker is trying to break free.
Braque misses with a punch to the body.
Decker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A big left from Decker misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Decker.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Braque swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Decker throws out a counter right but Braque avoids it with no problem.
Braque avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Braque changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Braque closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Braque wants to take a breather but Decker is having none of it.
Braque is pressing down on Decker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Decker is holding on for now.
Braque working over Decker with some ground and pound. Decker looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Decker tries to kick Braque off but Braque keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Braque wants to pass to mount but Decker is defending the position.

Decker is trying to stand up here but Braque is controlling him well.
Braque lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Braque wants to take a breather but Decker is having none of it.

Decker felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Braque connects with a nice short shot to Decker's temple.

Decker is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Braque scores with a couple of nice shots.
Braque lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Decker quite badly. Decker pulls Braque in close trying to recover. Braque postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Decker on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Decker doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

During a confident post fight interview, Alain Braque thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
