This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 62 wins and 36 losses; Jisoo Oh! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 130 wins and 76 losses; Jackson Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Ramirez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Oh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ramirez somewhat.
Ramirez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Oh (0) vs (4) Ramirez The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oh tries to buck Ramirez off but Ramirez is having none of it. A lull in the action here as Ramirez stalls from top position. We've been hearing good reports from Oh's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Oh is trying to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ramirez working away. Ramirez is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Oh is defending well though. Ramirez let's go of the attempt for now. Oh manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ramirez's guard. Nice work there by Oh.

Oh is trying to control the action in half guard but Ramirez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ramirez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Oh trying to control the action but Ramirez is working from the bottom. Oh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Oh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ramirez for as long as he can get away with.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Oh wants to advance to full mount but Ramirez doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Oh controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Oh won't allow Ramirez to sweep him here. Oh controls from within his opponent's guard. Ramirez wants to sweep but no luck. Oh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Ramirez keeping full guard, as Oh tries to pass.
 That's ten minutes gone in the round. Ramirez can't keep his opponent in guard - Oh advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Oh looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Oh trying to control the action but Ramirez is working from the bottom. Oh is controlling the pace.

 That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Oh wants to pass the guard but Ramirez is defending well. Oh with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ramirez tries to get to full guard but Oh has control of the leg. Oh not doing much here.
