The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owen clobbers Poirier with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Owen looks to land a combination but Poirier avoids it well.
Poirier has his takedown stuffed
and Owen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Owen scores with a hook.
Poirier tries to clinch
and Owen counters with a stiff right hand.
Poirier is rocked!
BOOM! Owen lands a beautiful left hook that drops Poirier. Poirier tries to recover but Owen is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Poirier lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dylan Owen!
A very excited looking Dylan Owen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
