Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luca Li Citra (ranked 365 p4p, 98 weight class) and Quentain Martell (ranked 54 p4p, 14 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Martell's choice of entrance music: I Pledge Allegiance (Nate Dogg ft. Pharoahe Monch). Luca Li Citra had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quentain Martell!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martell looks to land a right hand but Li Citra moved out of range.
Li Citra swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Li Citra slips a straight right by Martell.
Li Citra appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Li Citra smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Martell scores with a jab to the body.
Li Citra stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've been told by Li Citra's head coaches at Mentor Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Quentain Martell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Li Citra fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Martell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Li Citra is looking to stand up but Martell isn't so interested in that idea.

Quentain Martell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Martell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
