Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Happy Hands (ranked 326 p4p, 757 weight class) and Ben Passel (ranked 41 p4p, 80 weight class). Hands's entrance music is Pharoahe Monch- Simon Says. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Passel!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hands moves away from the strike by Passel.
Hands was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Hands displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Passel throws out the jab.
Passel takes a swing at Hands's ribcage but misses.
Passel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hands sprawls well. Hands wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Passel gets slowly back to his feet.
Hands tries to work over Passel's front leg with a kick but Passel checks it.
Passel misses with a straight right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Passel throws a jab when Hands was well out of range.
Hands was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Hands wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hands has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Temple of Fitness in the buildup to the fight.
Passel throws a lazy right hand but Hands sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice shot lands for Passel.

A head kick misses from Hands.
Hands avoids the body shot from Passel.
It looked like Hands wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Passel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hands's waist but Hands gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Passel off to one side.
It looked like Hands was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Passel scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Passel lands a jab to the nose.
Happy Hands is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hands connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Passel with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hands to score with a decent uppercut.
A jab from Passel misses.
A bone on bone clash there as Passel blocks the leg kick.
Passel is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Passel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hands defends well and Passel ends up having to push Hands into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Happy Hands has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Passel.
Passel goes for a double leg but Hands avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hands continues to drive forward.
As Passel backs away, Hands returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Passel is rocked!
Ben Passel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hands drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Passel right on the button. Passel goes down! Hands follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Hands gets the win via TKO!
