Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Javier Martinez (ranked 376 p4p, 1640 weight class) and Eli Vieira (ranked 44 p4p, 181 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eli Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Martinez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Martinez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vieira.
Martinez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vieira to score with a decent uppercut.
Martinez moves into the clinch.
Vieira keeps control of Martinez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
With the fighters up against the cage, Martinez throws an elbow but misses.
Martinez breaks the clinch.
Martinez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Martinez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Vieira fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Martinez on the side of the head.

Vieira throws a lazy right hand but Martinez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Martinez scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Martinez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Martinez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Vieira feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Martinezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Martinez takes the fight into the clinch.

Vieira seems to have recovered his senses.

and Martinez counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Vieira thinking.
Martinez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Martinez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Vieira. Vieira circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Martinez swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Martinez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Vieira might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Martinez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vieiras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Martinez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Vieira swings widly with a right hand
and Martinez counters with a left to the body.
Martinez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Vieira throws a low kick but Martinez avoids it.
A quick step to the side and Martinez tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vieira lands a head shot.
Martinez tests Vieira's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Vieira misses with a hook.
Martinez closes the distance and pushes Vieira back into the cage.
Vieira takes an elbow to the forehead.

A frustrated look appears on Martinez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Vieira has Martinez pushed against the cage.
Vieira keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Martinez's efforts to push away.

Martinez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Martinez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Vieira throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Martinez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Martinez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vieira manages to avoid it.
A little jabbing left from Vieira on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Vieira missing with a left hand there. Martinez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vieira's jab looks to have found its range, popping Martinez under the eye.
A looping hook to the body misses from Martinez. Vieira does a little dance to reset his feet.
Martinez connects with a jab.
Martinez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vieira gets a clinch.
Martinez misses with an elbow over the top.
Vieira slows down the pace here.

The crowd are getting on Vieira's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Martinez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Vieira moves forwards but Martinez connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Vieira takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
and Martinez counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Vieira! He's just covering up as Martinez starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Javier Martinez!

A relieved looking Javier Martinez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
