PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krayzie Bone (ranked 2717 p4p, 2240 weight class) and Petros Petritis (ranked 313 p4p, 261 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Krayzie Bone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Petros Petritis! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petritis looks to throw the jab but Bone is out of range. Bone steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Petritis. Petritis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bone takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bone connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
 It looks like Petros Petritis has been cut. Petritis misses with a hook
and Bone counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Petritis thinking. Bone misses with a few strikes there.
Bone misses the shot to the body. Petritis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Petritis misses with a few strikes there.
A combination from Bone does no damage. Petritis looks like he wants to counter punch here. Petritis misses the jab. Bone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A little jabbing left from Petritis on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Petritis scores with a decent looking hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Petritis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bone. A right-left combo lands from Bone. Nice shot lands for Bone. Petritis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Bone misses with a two punch combination.
Bone dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Petritis throws a lazy uppercut
and Bone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bone misses with a wild body shot. Nice straight punches there by Petritis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Petritis. Petritis scores with a nice right hand.
Petritis swings widly with a right hand
and Bone counters with a right hand to the body. Petritis throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bone throws an overhand right that lands on Petritis's shoulder, as Petritis tries to avoid the shot. Petritis throws a lazy uppercut
and Bone counters with a straight right hand. Petritis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Bone scores with a sloppy right hand. Petritis should have avoided that one. Petros Petritis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bone throws a body shot but no joy. Bone avoids the body shot from Petritis.
A big left from Bone misses. Bone on the wrong end of a nice jab.
 It looks like Krayzie Bone has been cut.
Petritis drops Bone with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bone looks back up at him and smiles so Petritis waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
 Bone is rocked! Bone backs away from a small jab... but Petritis lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Bone crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Petritis with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Petros Petritis! Our winner, Petros Petritis, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
