Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adaev shoots in and drives through. Cruz sprawls well.
Adaev looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Adaev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cruz defends it nicely.
Cruz looks to throw the jab but Adaev is out of range.
Adaev is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cruz.
Cruz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Adaev attempts a counter takedown but Cruz avoids it well and moves away.
Cruz misses with a looping right.
As Cruz tries to get set, Adaev tries to push him back and clinch up but Cruz manages to avoid the attempt.
Cruz misses with a wild combination.
Cruz digs a good hook to Adaev's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cruz scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Cruz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Santa Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz scores with a jab to the head.
Adaev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Adaev closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Cruz looks to throw the jab but Adaev is out of range.
Cruz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Adaev.
Cruz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cruz misses with a body shot
and Adaev counters with a takedown into side control.
Adaev is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Cruz looks calm but he's in trouble here. Adaev gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Cruz is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Adaev lets go of the hold and Cruz can pop his arm back in it's socket.
