And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 51 wins and 70 losses; Boris Balkan!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.

Balkan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kersikov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Balkan has Kersikov in his guard.

Kersikov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Balkan is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Kersikov jumps into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Balkan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kersikov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Balkan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kersikov in particular looking to stall.

Kersikov content to control rather than advance.

Balkan has his foot on Kersikov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kersikov works his way back into a safe position though.

Balkan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kersikov haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Balkan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kersikov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Balkan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kersikov manages to get himself to full guard.

Kersikov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Balkan in particular looking to stall.
