Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Morterero (ranked 1507 p4p, 1899 weight class) and The Ole Dick Twist (ranked 199 p4p, 231 weight class). Morterero comes to the cage accompanied by Tequila Sunrise (Spanish Version). On his way into the cage it seems that Emilio Morterero has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Emilio Morterero seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Morterero.
Morterero throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dick Twist throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morterero's waist but Morterero gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dick Twist off to one side.
It looked like Morterero wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Dick Twist shoots in for a double leg but Morterero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Morterero was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Morterero enables Dick Twist to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Morterero manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dick Twist postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Morterero wants to stand up but Dick Twist is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dick Twist accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Morterero pushes Dick Twist off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Morterero uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Morterero is not content to let Dick Twist control the position.
