Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Smash Adams (ranked 1015 p4p, 1903 weight class) and Dean Howard (ranked 126 p4p, 215 weight class). Adams comes into the arena with Smash Adams' Theme blaring out of the sound system. Smash Adams could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dean Howard's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Adams throws a right hand that Howard ducks under and follows up with a left that Howard also avoids with ease.
Howard changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Adams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Howard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Howard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Adams tries to avoid it but Howard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Adams to the ground. Adams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Howard walks into a stiff left hand from Adams.
Adams throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Howard's head.
Adams throws a right and a left that Howard avoids nicely.
Adams throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Adams looks to land a combination but Howard avoids it well.

Howard gets tackled into the cage by Adams. Adams maintains the clinch.

Howard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Adams manages to avoid it.

Adams wants to get back to his feet but Howard is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adams trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Howard makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Howard is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Adams is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Kaptajnernes TrÃ¦ningscenter, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Smash Adams will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Howard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Adams pinned against the cage. Adams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
